WELCOME
We would like to take this opportunity to familiarize you with the
SJE PTO. Our organization is a non-profit group that strives to foster a growing relationship between school and family. We
host a number of events and activities throughout the year in hopes of making each students time here at SJE a memorable one.
The big events that we sponsor include the Old Fashion Carnival, Breakfast With Santa, Grandparent's Day
Luncheon and Family Night. Other activities include Skate Night, special treats, treats for perfect attendance, and more.
We also give a $500 scholarship each year to a graduating senior who attended SJE and we contribute equipment and supplies
to the school. You have surely seen our new state-of-the-art digital marquee in front of the school! It looks great!
The PTO would like to have the support of our SJE families, so if you have a suggestion, question or
comment, please let us know. All of your ideas are welcome. Just drop us a note in the little red school house outside the
front office.
School begins Monday, August 24, 2009!
School hours: 7:45 am - 2:45 pm
Please note Spring Break is scheduled for March 15 - 19, 2010.
Pre-purchased School Supplies
If you purchased school supplies through the PTO, they will be in your child's homeroom on the first day of instruction.
If you did not purchase supplies please see the district website at dpisd.org for a link to the list.
PTO Volunteers Needed!
We have a busy and fun year planned for 2009-2010! Our parents and volunteers are such a huge part of SJE's success
and we could not do it without you. We still have some committee chair positions available. Please fill out the
volunteer form included in the first day packet. Thanks!
